[Balthazar] Stability Testing
- 2 days 22 hours uptime with two twitch streams running on 1080p monitiors.
- Trying 5 VM's now on main display.
- Crash of nvidia driver at over 3 days uptime with 2 streams running and 5 VM's.
- Nvidia BSOD at 17+ hours uptime, with 4 VM's running since 10 hours uptime.
- Tried disabling Message Signaled Interrupt for the StorACHI driver. No apparent change.
- 2 days 2 hours uptime. Recieved BSOD while watching video from media01 server, and trying to move a chrome window from the main monitor to the right one.
- 3 days uptime with two streams running before driver crashed and I had to alt ctrl del. Occasionally watched videos off the local servers as well.
- 12 hours before running two VM's caused an nvidia driver BSOD
- BSOD after 3 days with 2 streams running and machine locked.
- Uninstalled DisplayFusion to see if app hooks were affecting NVIDIA drivers. Testing with 3 streams.
- Running four youtube videos on the bottom four 2K monitors causes the nvidia driver to crash.
- Uninstalled video drivers and then used Display Driver Uninstaller to clean any remnents. Then I installed vers 376.19 and had issues because for some reason Nvidia enables SLI by default. Everything seems ok now, still seeing high SSD usage.
- No such luck. I did I system restore to monday and still got a BSOD at 2 hours uptime citing a driver irq not equal or less.
- Despite doing a system restore I am still getting BSOD after 2 hours uptime with 2 streams running, so I am going to try updating the LSI Megaraid drivers with one for windows 8.1 from 2015
- The "new" LSI Megaraid drivers work, but the Device Manager says they are from 2013?
- Tried with old and new nvidia drivers, old ones caused time out, newest ones a BSOD, so I'm restoring from the backup on Thursday the 8th.
- I updated the LSI Megaraid driver and everything seems better now. 12 hours uptime and counting with 2 streams.
- Over 2 days uptime now running 2 streams.
- Macrium reflect backup completed succesfully without BSOD at 1 day 23 hours uptime.
- Uptime 4 days 8 hours no BSOD!
- Backup at 2 days 19 hours uptime successful with no BSOD!

[Balthazar] TDR Video driver time out BSOD
TDR BSOD event at about 3 days 20 hours uptime.
- Going to install new video drivers.
- Current version: 372.54
- Driver install failed, trying clean install.
- The new driver ( 375.70 ) seems to leave the 640's disabled, reinstalling driver 372.54
- Reinstall of old driver worked! Everything seems back to normal.
- No such luck, updated windows as of oct 27th update, hard lock up with 2 monitors having lost signal.
- Gonna try the oct 6th nvidia drivers. (737.06)
- 11 hours uptime with 3 streams on.
- 5 streams caused a lock up
- Restoring to Nov 1st backup.
- No such luck, the nvidia driver is still having the stopped responding behavior.
- Using the Edge browser seems to have lessened the problem, but upon starting up skype and discord with 4 streams running, I got a BSOD from the nvidia driver with an (IRQL not less or equal)
- Uninstalled the old driver, failure upon trying to install the latest driver. So I just let windows handle it. it took over ten minutes I think, but it found all the video cards and monitors!
- Installed old driver (368.22 or 368.81?). Seems stable with 3 streams.
- BSOD at 4+ hrs uptime when going from two to three streams.
- Disabled the bottom GTX 580 shortly after logging into windows. Running fine with 3 streams.
- Restored to the October 20th 2016 backup. Had one CRITICAL PROCESS DIED (?) error. windows updated to current. Uninstalled intel update managers (2?) because of williamette service error annoyance filling up log files. Everything now seems as stable as before the page file crash/corruption.
- It seems more stable than before the restore, but I am still having issues with the nvidia driver BSODing. Could this be from windows updates?

[Balthazar] Avast Anti-virus service terminated unexpectadly
The Avast Antivirus service keeps terminating randomly, usually only twice, but last time it happened it killed my internet connection when I tried to launch 4 VM's.
- First off, I've uninstalled spybot search and destroy.
- upon noticing this happening again after startup i initiated the repair option upon trying to uninstall Avast.
- I have uninstalled and reinstalled Avast now after having the taskbar hang. I have also moved the swap file to C: and have it set to a system managed size.
[Balthazar] The description for Event ID 2 from source ESRV_SVC_WILLAMETTE cannot be found
I noticed this in the logs
The description for Event ID 2 from source ESRV_SVC_WILLAMETTE cannot be found
And upon googling, I decided to uninstall the intel update utility and intel driver update utility.

[Balthazar] Pageswap Raid Adata Redundancy Failure
So windows 10 logged this
"Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort1, was issued."
The second 128GB Adata drive appeared, but as foregin, and also listed as missing.
When trying to rebuild the Raid 1 mirror, windows spat out the error along the lines of "Plex is missing"
Deleting the old Mirror drive, importing the "foreign" one, and resync succeded
Waiting to see of the array holds.
Also going to swap out the right angle cable.
Also, a log entry from 8/31/2016 says one of the 128GB drives (Drive 3?) Has a bad block.

[Balthazar] LSI Embedded Raid Issues
I recieved the new Samsung 850 Pro SSD yesterday, and backed up and then synced the drives at around 9pm. All wall well apparently until 2am when the remaining intel SSD in slot 1 dropped off. I have tested the drive in the backup computer, and it is apparently in perfect health, but the onboard raid refuses to recognize it.

[Balthazar]
At 5 hours uptime today I encountered the same strange behavior again as I had with windows 7. could not open new browser windows or file explorer, could not restart computer via cmd line. I had to do a manual restart.
It turns out one of the 250GB Intel 520 Series SSD's I have windows 10 on was dying and finally died.

[Media01] File system and Firmware upgrade issues.
I couldn't delete a video file even thou I had closed out the player, so I restarted the NAS (Media01), which kept saying that Volume 1 (Movies) had file system errors, even thou the File System Checking was stuck on 100% for about an hour. I foolishly decided to upgrade the NAS OS firmware, and after waiting for an hour for it to finish, I plugged in a monitor to the NAS and discovered it has stopped on failing to load the UPS driver. I disconnected the UPS, and everything seems fine now, as well as the file system check finishing. The UPS has been reconnected but seems to have a bug with being detected.

[Balthazar] Nvidia driver BSOD
The Nvidia driver caused a BSOD while watching 4 twitches streams, and with all 8 VM's running. I'm going to try changing the monitors the VM's are on, since this seems to be an issue after adding the new 27in monitor.

[Balthazar] Nvidia Driver stopped responding
I keep having issues now and then during heavy video usage after the windows 10 anniversary update. I think it might have overwritten the existing Nvidia driver, so I'm going to attempt updating to the newest driver.

[Balthazar] Leak in CPU Loop Mo-ra 3 Rad
Due to dropping water levels in the resevoir, which I thought was just air trapped in the new Monsta 480 radiator, I discovered that the Mo-ra 3 radiator is leaking from the top rear area, near the fittings I think.

[Balthazar] Win10 sfc nvidia driver error
System file checker has marked the newer and correct version of the video driver as bad. Upon further research online, I have determined there is no way to fix this yet, without replacing the newer Nvidia driver with the older Microsoft driver

[Balthazar] Repeated Freezing
Balthazar keeps freezing up when running the SL Firestorm viewer, and even after. Upon restart, screens are also shutting off, then the computer is on for several minutes before actually rebooting.
I am still encountering the issue. The CPU freq also seems to be spiking an then dropping along with usage. had no problems on Friday, 6/24/2016, but at 3am the following day symptoms reemerged despite having run firestorm viewer and WOWS the previous day (Friday). Only twitch videos and 80's music videos were playing overnight. as of 7-11, the problem is back.

- Antivirus Updated.
- NVIDIA Drivers updated from 358.50 to 368.39
- Programs removed from startup via MSConfig
- Removed the LSI Raid card, it was blocking airflow over GTX #3's exposed circuitry.
- internet stopped working at 2d 11hrs uptime despite good pings. COuldn't oepn new programs or finish shutting down. updated LAN drivers and scanned for malware.
- Nothing has worked. At 13hrs uptime interet refused to work, despite ping and traffic to local NAS. Could not shut down, ctrl alt del resulted in black screen after several minutes.
- So I finally restored from a full backup from June 13th, on the 29th. I had to convert the tib file to a VHD and then to Macrium's own backup format. Everything seems fine so far, at 3d12h uptime.
